Chapbooks

Sarabande Books is apparently putting out a chapbook by Robert Pinsky. Does that strike anybody else as very strange?

They have a series: they did Bidart and Gluck.

That seems antithetical to the whole chapbook ethos. Lets publish projects by major figures; work which will no doubt show up in a book published by a big press glossily... Aren't they simply kissing up in order to draw attention to their press as an established press?

Have you seen the chapbooks? What do they look like?

Yes. They are kissing up. It's become very clear through the years that they've abandoned their original mission.

I've seen one. I've even BOUGHT one: Frank Bidart's _Music Like Dirt_. Fine quality--really nicely done (all politics aside).
