I don't know what blog I read about the Funky Forest (maybe Gary Sullivan or Jordan Davis), but I'm glad I did. This film is super. It's kind of like Joyelle's poetry but a Japanese movie.
I haven't seen this whole thing yet, but I caught a portion of it on that Wholphin DVD, and a few more sections on Youtube. It looked pretty excellent.
My favorite part is the little gag about Japanese politeness (after the testicle badminton thing). The guy in the white coat tosses his cigarette at the dude apologizing to him, and the dude just picks it up, hands it to him, and starts apologizing again. So great.

Wasn't it great? I saw it with Nada and Brandon and a couple of Nada's students at Pratt. We all loved it.
