Thanks for this mention. Öyvind Fahlström's work has really been essential to helping me think about/contextualize my doodles and reading notes. I'm most familiar with work that he made in the US (there's a shock) in the 60s and early 70s, like Sketch for World Map and such--the stuff at MoMa. I wish it were more widely available--most of the books and catalogs are out of print.
There's a really good catalog from a show in Barcelona a few years ago called "Another Space for Painting." That also includes a bunch of his writings.
Actually your doodles remind me a lot of this one Swedish concretist in the 1960s (I can't remember his name but I have some of his stuff). If I remember I'll make some copies and send you. Fahlstrom spawned a whole bunch of "concrete poets" and experimental artists/performers in Sweden in the 1960s.
It's times like this that I especially miss having access to the Corcoran library.
